The Paper Shelter (TPS) Challenge #75 - Glitz & Glimmer

When I knew that this week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is"Glitz & Glimmer", I knew almost instantly that I wanna use the image "Cirque" for this card.

After colouring the image "Cirque", I used the medium size Cheery Lynn's die - Heart to Heart Lace Doily (DL106) to trace around the image with a pencil, creating a heart shape frame around her upper body. Then I fussy cut it out.

As the dies used are a set of various sizes of hearts, I diecut a total of 6 hearts of different sizes with different types of paper. There were the plain CS as well as the Glitter CS. The plain CS was a breeze but when I tried to diecut on Glitter CS, it failed the 1st time. So I had to run the Glitter CS & die through the machine 4 times before I get a clean cut & here's the outcome.

Coloured the image "Cirque" in shades of purples & greens. Coloured the white heart background frame in the same tones (Feathering technique) to give it the soft glam factor. Added my usual Stickles - Diamond & glossy accent to various parts of the image.

Love the look of stitches on cards but unfortunately I can't sew so I had to live with my hand drawn stitches. :) heehee.
